You’re warmly invited to a lovely festive evening of music and community support in Bristol. The Keynsham Brass Band is coming to Henleaze for a free concert, and they’re holding a retiring collection to support the work of North Bristol & South Glos Foodbank. You don’t need to buy a ticket – just turn up, enjoy the music and support your local community.
Keynsham Brass Band has deep roots in the region, with a history that reaches back to before the second world war. Today the band brings together around 25 players aged from 16 to over 60, many of whom have played together for more than 20 years. They draw on a mix of backgrounds and schools, and their concerts often feature accomplished soloists. Their music leans towards contemporary arrangements, giving a fresh take on the brass band sound, and they perform at around 15 events each year.
