Volunteer

Be the reason someone doesn’t go hungry this week

Volunteers are the driving force behind food banks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.

Volunteering opportunities in Bristol and South Gloucestershire

The roles that we may have available include: sorting out donations and stock or volunteering in our van teams (either driving the van or accompanying the driver as a buddy). Sometimes we also have vacancies within our food bank outlet teams.

The majority of our volunteer roles include lifting crates, which can weigh around an average of 16kg and the roles are usually in the working week.

We are always keen to hear from anyone who is interested in volunteering with us and we would love to hear from you whether your availability is weekly, fortnightly or even ad-hoc.

Please note that all our volunteers need to be over the age of 18 and we usually ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of three months of volunteering with us.
