Skills Connect is a free careers advice and support service for residents of Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset aged 18 or over. The service is funded and managed by the West of England Combined Authority and delivered in partnership with local councils.
Their team of trained careers coaches provides one-to-one support tailored to your needs, whether you’re unemployed, in work, self-employed or looking for a career change. They can help you identify employment goals, improve your CV and interview skills, find relevant training courses, and build confidence. They also offer referrals to other services for wellbeing or financial support if needed.
The Skills Connect website also works as a directory, bringing together hundreds of training providers, courses and support services across the region in one searchable place. You can browse events, explore apprenticeships, research career pathways and access labour market information to help you make informed decisions about your next steps.
