For flavour boosters:

  • Add a squeeze of tomato puree
  • Parsley (dried or fresh)
  • Chopped fresh chillies (remove the seeds for less spice)

Method

    Preheat the oven to 200C / Gas Mark 6.

    Heat a tablespoon of oil or butter in a frying pan. Add the onions and garlic and cook on medium heat until soft.

    In a separate bowl, mix together the tinned tomatoes, tomato puree and any other flavour boosters.
